Challenge Your Stash Christmas

This is my card for the July Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 7th month of de-stashing!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Carol posted our July challenge--make a Christmas Card or Decoration.   I love Christmas so I used a Touché sentiment stamp that has not been inked up before.  I think this is a perfect sentiment for everyone to think about!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards recently.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSJUL.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For August, Darlene is up and she has already given us our challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Friday's with The Project Bin

I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  Every single Friday I will be posting a card made from one of their great photopolymer stamp sets.  So, please plan to come back each week to see what I have created--and I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies!

If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of more of the design team members.

This card was made with two of my favorite TPB stamp sets--Spencer's Set and My Heart.  Spencer's Set was created to promote autism awareness and has a cute heart puzzle and 4 wonderful sentiments.  My heart has 7 images and sentiments and comes with two coordinating dies.  I love both of them!

Here are the two stamp sets--My Heart and Spencer's Set:

I hope many of you participated in the Christmas in July Blog Hop last weekend.  I love the new set that we showcased, Joyful Song, so I used another sentiment from the same set.  For this card, I used a pair of Spellbinder dies that are shaped like a book.  This set comes with 3 main sentiments that are found in Christmas Carols, along with two sentiments you can use inside of your card.  There is also a small angel and a pair of wings to add to your creation--you will love the entire set!

Ready? Set? Go!

It is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card!  The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and me) are back with another challenge this month--our third month of this!

Jeanette picked our challenge for this month.  We have been chatting the past few months about how our gallery has changed since we all joined SCS.  We all started our gallery in 2008.  I joined SCS in 2004, but it took me 4 years to post to the gallery.  Jeanette and Kelly both joined SCS in 2008 and started posting to the gallery the same year.  So, Jeanette's challenge was to find out 8th card from the end--the 8th card we posted to our gallery.  We then were to CASE the card and created one for this month.  So-ready or not--here we go!   Ready? Set? Go!

My 8th card was a 3 x 3 card I did for a shoebox swap in Madison in March of 2008.  It was a very simple card--one stamp with one layer and using Kaleidacolor ink.  And, a very poor picture of it too!  So, I did use the same kind of ink pad on this card, and did use the same ticket corner punch.  But, I also used my 4th card as an inspiration.  I used the same stamp set--and one that is still current in the Stampin' Up catalog ~ Lovely as a Tree!   I still have the Word Window punch too!  It is a pretty simple card--no ribbon or fiber on it, as that is what these two cards portray.

I sure hope my photography skills along with card making creativity have both improved in the past 9 years!

Here is the inside of my card:

I think this sentiment is perfect as both of my companions in this challenge are both so nice!  We chat via texting pretty much every single day!  And Nice Does Matter!!!!!

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  Kelly is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in August!

Here's The Story

This card is for a Mystery Swap on SCS. A group of us are doing a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same mystery image, sent to us by the hostess. This swap was created by Forest Ranger—Jeanette and we are now in our 41st  round!  Terry is the hostess this month and she sent everyone this sweet My Favorite Things image and a matching sentiment.   Terry will swap the cards and send everyone the next image, which is being sent by Laura Jean. We then get to do it all again, for round 42!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Terry and the other swappers like my card.  If you check my sidebar on the left, you might see some other swappers who have posted their cards.

Dueling Darlings

If you are looking for my The Project Bin Card and our Christmas in July Blog Hop, please scroll up.

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For the July Challenge, Heather and Paola decided on the theme--Midsummer Night's Dream!   Paola is the one of the Darlings and Heather is a Diva, the team that I am on!

Heather
sent each of the Divas two sweet fairy images for us to color up.  Heather also included some colorful patterned papers and many sweet matching embellishments! It was a fun card to make!

Here is the inside of my card.  Since Paola and Heather are both from Canada, they wanted us to use a maple leaf on our card to honor Canada's 150th Birthday!  Here they are!

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs:  Suzy and Terry S who both are on the Diva team, and Terry A, Paola and Debby who are Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!
