Fridays with The Project Bin

I am back with another card for The Project Bin Stamps--A Way With Words!  Every single Friday I will be posting a card made from one of their great photopolymer stamp sets.  So, please plan to come back each week to see what I have created--and I think you too will love these great sentiment stamp sets.  And, remember, some of the sets come with matching steel dies!

For this card, I used a stamp set called Luke 2. This set has some great Christmas Sentiments, including three scriptures from the Book of Luke.

Additions to the Family

This is a card I just made for our niece and nephew who completed the adoption of three little tikes--all brothers.  They have been fostering the littlest guy for two years after they brought him home from the hospital.  They then had his two older brothers, ages 3 and 7, visited for weekends occasionally. After a year, they began foster the two older brothers full time and started the process to adopt all three!  There was always the fear a biological family member might take all three, but a week ago, on mom Brook's birthday, they all became adopted and a part of our family!  The three boys joined sister Nayla, who they  adopted a year ago and is 6!  There are also three older siblings, two in college and one in high school, so now they are a family of seven!

I inked up a favorite Paper Inspirations stamp and I love that line of calligraphy stamps!

Here is the inside of my card:

I am sure Matt and Brook will love the card as will the three boys!

Challenge Your Stash

It is the 28th and that means a new post for our group on SCS.  This is post #5 for Challenge Your Stash!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Suzy
posted our June challenge--make a card showing off your favorite beverage.  I love lots of different beverages but since it is summer, I decided to choose beer!  This is a new stamp set that I got a month or so ago and I decided to ink it up.  I really do like a cold beer when it is hot outside, especially after working in the gardens.  I think this is a perfect card for my brother or one of my nephews!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSJUNE.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Open Your Soul, kit #4

I am back with my 4th card made from Heather's card kit group.  I was the recipient in April of 11 card kits and I was able to make 4 cards and started posting them on last Saturday  There is no a theme for these kits--each lady sent anything they wanted.  Some seemed to tailor their kits to the month of April and others for images they think fit me.  Thanks Ladies.  I have 7 more kits to make and will work on them this week.  Stay tuned for more cards to come!

This card from kit #4, from Sonja. It was a fun kit with a couple of sweet images.  Sonja also included a piece of watercolor paper she colored with Color Burst along with some die cut butterflies.  I used that great paper as may background and the extra piece inside my card.  I hope I did OK and that Sonja likes my creation.

Fridays with The Project Bin!

I am so excited to share the news that I am on a new Design Team--The Project Bin Stamps!  The Project Bin is a fantastic company with clear stamps that feature snappy sentiments. I have admired and bought a few of their stamp sets in the past and recently that have also added some coordination steel dies for some of the sets.  That is great news for any paper-crafter--no more fussy cutting.  Denise is the owner and creator for The Project Bin and she comes out with new stamp sets every few weeks--so be sure to keep checking!
If you want to check out more creations from the design team, be sure to check out The Project Bin Blog as often as you can.  Every day there is a different card posted by one of more of the design team members.  I will be posting on Friday's, so you will see one of my creations each week.

For my first card, I used a stamp set call Yello as it has some fun images, great sentiments and a die that cuts the word Yello!

I used one of the sweet (well maybe not with a lemon) sentiments for my card, along with the slice of lemon stamp.  I also added some Wink of Stella on both of the lemon slices, though that shine does not photograph well at all!  And then, added a cute glass of lemonade (or whatever beverage you might pick) brad on the side of the slice.

Here is the Yello stamp set:

For the inside of my card, I added an older Stampin' Up sentiment, as I think this is a perfect card for a great friend!

And Now, Announcing The Project Bin Blog Hop, July 15th and 16th!  Be sure come back and join us for some great inspiration, giveaways and other surprises. The theme will be Christmas in July and everyone can get a head start on those holiday cards with some wonderful Christmas sentiments!

I hope you have enjoyed my first of many cards for The Project Bin.  I am planning to be on this awesome Design Team for a year so that is over 50 creations coming your way.  Check back on every week, any day for inspiration for the team but especially on Friday's to check out my cards.  I will end as I started, I am soooooo excited to be chosen to be on this wonderful design team!

Beach Babes

This is my card for June's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  We just started a new round and Debby is the hostess this month.  She sent us this hilarious Art Impressions image and some fun sentiments. Debbyy also included some great patterned paper, ribbons and embellishments for us to create a sweet card.

The Creative Card Chicks to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars, you may see more of these wonderful creations!  Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  Roxie is up for the July Challenge.  Please be sure to come back to see what image she has sent!

Ready, Set, Go, Challenge #2

It is the third Wednesday of the month and that means a Ready, Set, Go Challenge Card!  The 3 Musketeers (Jeanette, Kelly and me) are back with another challenge this month--our second month of this!

I picked our challenge for theme #2.  Using the first letter of our group title, make a project using something Starting with the letter R, S and G!  I used Rose Red for R, Satin Ribbon for the S and the stamp set Gift of Love for the G.  Ready? Set? Go!

I inked up a newer Stampin' Up set that I think is so pretty.  I also added some Wink of Stella to the flowers to give them some shine.  I love the sentiments that are included in this set, so I added two to my card!

Here is the inside of my card with the sentiment "You have a gift for making others feel loved.   Both of my partners in this challenge identify strongly with this phrase--they make me feel loved every single day!

Please be sure to check out the other Ready, Set, Go cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too!  Jeanette is up for the next theme, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to on the 3rd Wednesday in July.

Poppy Trio

This card is for the monthly swap that Pam hosts on SCS.  Each month we make 10 cards and include a matching envelope.  They can be any theme for any month.  All of the swappers are wonderful and I have received awesome cards each and every month.

I used a new stamp set that I recently bought at the Milwaukee stamp show from Rubbernecker.  I love their flower stamps--though I might be a bit biased as I have demoed for them at some previous shows!  They also have started to make some matching dies for many of their stamps--YAY!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Pam and the others swappers like my card this month!

Maturity Is........

This is the card I made for our bi-monthly swap at my local stamp and scrapbook store called Polka Dots, in Mukwonago.  The theme this month is monochromatic, so I went with one of my favorite sentiments.  I think this makes a good masculine card!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope everyone likes my card!
