This is the second of the two cards I made for Peggy Sue's Raining Ho-Ho-Ho Swap that she is hosting on SCS. My other card was posted last Thursday, if you want to check back.

I inked up one of my favorite Whipper Snapper snowman images--Last Man Standing!  I also added some clear Wink of Stella on the snow flakes and on the snow on the trees for some glimmer!

Here is the inside of my card:

Challenge Your Stash ~ Super Hero

It is the 28th and that means a new post for our group on SCS.  This is post #4 for Challenge Your Stash!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group by the 5th of the month and the card is due to be posted on the 28th.  The challenges can be a color challenge or a sketch challenge or a technique challenge or a combination.  Then, each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Kelly posted our April challenge.  This is what she wrote for us: Your challenge is based on something I heard back in January on the Christian radio station that I listen to on my morning kids-to-school commute. It was a story about a family that visited the mommy regularly while she was receiving chemotherapy as part of her cancer treatment. They all showed up - the dad AND the little kids - dressed as super heroes! What a wonderful support system to have and a wonderful way to show love in an unsettling time. In times of trial, they found a way to triumph!

Your challenge is to make a card showing a superhero, or superhero DSP, or the word super, or a collection of all of them! However and whichever way you want to showcase it.

I used some Melonheadz digital images and paired it with some thick baker's twine and a button, in honor of Kelly!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSAPR.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!

In the Woods

This is my card for April's Monthly Challenge for the Creative Card Chicks.  This group is a kind of mystery image swap, where we each get an image and additional items to complete the challenge each month.  Kelly is the hostess this month and sent everyone some great items. Her theme was "Woodland Adventures". Kelly sent us images and two sentiments from the Stampendous In The Woods Set. She die cut the tree and leaves, so I also fussy cut the deer.  Kelly also included some great patterned paper for us to create a woodlands card.  I layered the jute over the brown twill ribbon and used some Stampin' Up Punches to layer the sentiment.

The Creative Card Chicks to post our cards between the 21st and 23rd of each month--so if you check the blogs on my sidebars today or in the next few days, you may see more of these wonderful creations!  Many of our members also post their card in our SCS thread--so you might find more there.  Suzy is up for the May Challenge, which is the start of another fun round of doing this. Please be sure to come back to see what image she has sent!

You are my Sunshine!

It is the 15th of the month and that means I am showing you a new Dueling Darlings card.  For the April Challenge, Kelly and Jeanette decided on the theme--You are my Sunshine!  Jeanette and Kelly are our leaders and this is the start of a new round--I am not sure how long this has been going on, but a number of years.  Jeanette is the leader of the Darlings and I am a part of the Diva team, which Kelly is the leader!

I love the sweet, sunny image that Kelly sent.  She also included wonderful papers and bright embellishments!

Here is the inside of my card--sorry it is a bit blurry.  It says "Wishing you Bright Sunshiny Days"!

I hope all of the Darlings enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Divas as well the Dazzlers have created this month.

There are a few members who do not have blogs:  Suzy and Terry S who both are on the Diva team, and Terry A, Paola and Debby who are Dazzlers.  You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!

Christmas CraZy Card

This is card #2 is for the new group that Jeanette started on SCS.  Jeanette is the Queen of Christmas and has way more trees and Christmas decorations in her house that I do---and that is quite an accomplishment!  This group is called Christmas CraZy.  This is a bi-monthly "swap" in which we are paired with someone in the group for those two months.  We are to send a kit to our partner--two identical images and two pieces of patterned paper. We can also send a matching sentiment.  That is it--no embellishments like ribbon, brads, buttons, etc., or additional cardstock--just images and two pieces of Christmas patterned paper.  We are to send the kit to our partner during the odd numbered month--like March.  We then make and post our card on the even month--April is even!  Then, next round, we are paired with another person and get to do it all again.

This is the sweet image I received all the way from Australia.  Lindsey sent me this kit with the Santa image, a matching sentiment and the fun patterned paper.  I hope that Lindsey and the others like my card!

This is my card for the monthly themed swap that Terry is hosting on SCS.  Each month she will post a theme and we make cards using any stamp set we believe follows that thought. This is our 16th month and the theme for April is "For the Birds and Butterflies".  I am sure there will be some wonderful cards this month

I hope Terry and the others swappers like my card this month too!  I cannot wait to see what our theme is for May!

Hat-Bee Birthday

This is the card for the 31st round of the Unidentified Image swap on SCS.  It is a group of ladies who are a part of a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The unidentified part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--that is today!   The image for this round was provided by me.  I will swap the cards and include the next image that Darlene, our next hostess in their return envie.  And then we get to do it all again--for round #32--in June!

Yes, I did sent a Whipper Snapper Design image that just makes me giggle.  There have been many colors used on the hats on the cards that I have received--that is one of the things that makes this swap so fun!

I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Glitter Pen on his nose and the wings, to make them glimmer a bit.

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations today or in the next few days.  I hope everyone in the swap liked my image and that you and like my card!

Friends ~ #3MStrong

It is time for another The Three Musketeers post. We are ready to showcase the card we all created with the image that Jeanette sent for this month for Card #31!  All three of us sure have enjoyed the challenges every month for more getting close to three years and we hope that it continues for a few more!  I think I am up next for the May challenge, so I had better start to think about what to stamp!  Be sure to come back to see what we create!

For our card this month, Jeanette sent us this cute image.  She mentioned in her note that it is a different kind of image--she called it a "messy look".  I do not think it is messy at all--i think it is so sweet!I hope Jeanette and Kelly like my card.

Here is the inside of my card:

Please check out the other Musketeer's cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's blog along with Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards!  They may post today, or it may be upcoming, so be sure to check out their blog for their card!

1 Corinthians and Joy

This is my card for the Crafters of Faith that my friend Kelly is hosting on SCS.  This is our 4th month and Jeanette gave us this challenge:   As you may know, my word of the year for 2017 is Joy.  Joy is not based on circumstances, but rather comes from within. No matter what is happening in our lives we can have Joy because of our love for the Lord and our hope in Him.

Joy is also one of the fruits of the Spirit…  Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
For April, I’d like for us to create a card/project that reflects Joy. Ideas? It could be something that brings you Joy, like a beach scene or a cabin in the mountain, etc. Or it could be a certain technique or stamping product that brings Joy every time you use it. Or it could be a reflection of a Bible verse that means a lot to you, filling you with Joy. Those are just a few ideas… truthfully, the options are vast for this theme.
Whatever direction you go with this, I am certain that your contribution will bring JOY to all of us.

I decided that the outdoors bring me Joy!  I love the be outside when the weather in Wisconsin allows it. And, we built a green house a few years ago so we have been known to go out on a Saturday morning during the winter when the sun is shining to have our morning coffee and read the newspaper as it is warm inside.  I love to walk outside, take hikes in the woods and even snowshoe in the winter.  We also have a tandem bike that brings us joy.  We currently have 12 trays flowers and vegetable plants under grow lights in the basement that we started from seed and will move to our greenhouse by the end of this month.  Seeing the baskets and pots of flowers on the deck bring joy all summer and into the fall.  Joy is all around us and mine is found in the outdoors!

I also really like the sentiment on my card--1 Corinthians 13, 4-8.  It is one of my favorite statements of love and also bring me JOY!

Here is the inside of my card:

I hope Kelly and Jeanette along the others like my card this month!  We are to post between the 7th and 10th of each month, so if you look on my sidebar, you may see other creations.  I know that there will be many posted in the COF thread on SCS too!
